Kelechi NwakaliKelechi Nwakali would rather sign for Arsenal than Chelsea because the Gunners play much better football.

The 17-year-old has been linked with a move to both Premier League clubs and previously had a trial at Manchester City after an impressive Under-17 World Cup campaign with Nigeria, where he won the Most Valuable Player award and led his country to victory.

A transfer to a European outfit is now on the cards and Chelsea are believed to be the frontrunners for his signature.

However, Nwakali stated that he’d prefer to sign for Arsenal as they play better football:

‘I would love to play for Arsenal.

‘They are the Premier League club I will like to play for because they play the best football in the world.’

The centre-midfielder, who can also play just behind the striker, is expected to finalise a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

He may not be the signing Arsenal fans want to see come in this January, but it’s good to see the Gunners can still attract young talent. Hopefully, Nwakali is one of them.
