Petr CechArsenal host Bayern Munich at the Emirates tomorrow night, which has rightly been labelled as a ‘must win game’.

The Gunners have lost both of their opening two Champions League matches against Croation minnows Dinamo Zagreb and Greek outfit Olympiacos, leaving Arsene Wenger’s side rock bottom in Group F.

Arsenal must now beat Bayern Munich on Tuesday night and get a positive result in the corresponding fixture a couple of weeks later to stand any chance of qualifying from the group.

Wenger has not yet utilized Petr Cech in the Champions League, opting instead to place David Ospina between the sticks so far. However, the Colombian has not managed to hit the heights and form he did in the second half of last season and made a costly error against Olympiacos a few weeks back at the Emirates, prompting the fans to ask why Wenger hasn’t used Cech in the competition.

More often than not, Wenger puts his faith in his second-choice goalkeeper in cup competitions throughout the season, but it’s been strange to see the Frenchman not use the experienced Cech in a cup competition he has yearned for for many years. His decision not to deploy the Czech goalkeeper has not left the club’s Champions League hopes hanging by a thread, with many fans already dismissing their chances of progression, including myself.

So, knowing tomorrow’s game is a must win one and seeing the form and errors of Ospina so far, should Wenger finally call on Cech against Bayern?

Well our only chance of winning this game is if Wenger plays his best team against the German giants, and Cech would be a part of that.
