Journalist Charlie Wyatt reckons Morgan Schneiderlin will be joining Arsenal this summer.
The French midfielder is expected to leave Southampton and the Gunners have been linked with him.
The Saints want £24 million for Schneiderlin, but it seems Arsene Wenger has baulked at the asking price, leaving Manchester United in pole position to sign the 25-year-old.
However, Wyatt, who has broken a number of Arsenal transfer in the past, believes Schneiderlin will end up at the Emirates before the transfer window closes.
Quoted in the Metro, Wyatt said:
‘I think Morgan Schneiderlin will be joining Arsenal.
‘He would be a good signing along with Petr Cech.’
Arsenal could do with another midfielder coming in this summer, and the club continue to be linked with several names in this position, but Schneiderlin seems to be the one that’s stuck around.
United and Arsenal are the only two teams interested in the French international, so it looks like it’s one or the other for Schneiderlin.
Wyatt believes Schneiderlin will be joining Arsenal, but this will only happen if the Gunners are prepared to splash out £24 million for his services. Wenger apparently baulked at the fee mentioned and also has other targets in mind, if reports are to be believed. But things can change very quickly, so anything is possible.
All we can do now is wait and see what happens.

With Petr Cech, Jackson Martinez and Morgan Schneiderlin, I believe Arsenal will be well prepared to compete in all fronts next season. The cash is available, pls Wenger don’t be shy in spending it on good signings. Its for the good of the club,the fans and the players.
I think Arsenal will be the Epl champions if only Wenger signs players like Morgan and a world class striker like Martinez or Higuan.we won’t win any title with Giroud as our main striker believe me!
I don’t think that either of two ie higuain or Martinez as Martinez is unproven and higuain has scored 18 goals in seria A where as giroud being out for 3 months ie 12 games and 2 through suspension has scored 14
