Arsenal are on the cusp of signing Petr Cech from Chelsea for around £11 million, which has been perceived by the media and Emirates faithful alike as a great piece of business.
But with the experienced Czech goalkeeper coming in this summer, it means bad news for David Ospina, who only joined the Gunners from Nice last summer.
The Colombian shot-stopper, 26, has been linked with a transfer move away from Arsenal, with the player himself recently admitting that his agent is in talks with Fenerbahce.
Ospina became Arsene Wenger’s number one at the start of 2015 after Wojciech Szczesny was found smoking in the showers following the 2-0 loss to Southampton on New Year’s Day.
However, while Szczesny was snubbed by Wenger for the Premier League and Champions League games this year, the Pole was involved in the FA Cup matches and did start in the 4-0 final win over Aston Villa last month. And Woj now looks set to remain at the Emirates, while Ospina could be shown the door by Wenger.
But do you want to see Ospina stay at Arsenal and be a part of the squad next season? Or is the South American’s time at the Emirates up?
I think Szczesny should go on loan.
Let ospina stay at Emirate.pls our dear boss wenger
Better if we can loan woj out, ospina Is a good asset, but he’s got a lot to learn from cech…. He lacks some quality, but good at saving. I’ve seen him save lots of One-On-One(against Monaco, even in the ongoing copy-america), damn it ospina is better than woj currently
Wenger is a mad man ospina has prof him self to stay.
That’s not what’s necessary, it deals with form, currently ospina is in form, never seen woj in form? He’s surprised me couple of times
Copa-america ****
Keep ospina its going to be mistake of the century to let him go
Pls my dear boss keep ospina for me cos if u let him go it may a big mistake. If anyone should go let it be szczesny.
Arsenal should keep Ospina and loan szcen
Arsenal should keep Ospina
Wenger pls! pls!! pls!!! dont sell ospina cos if you do, you’ll tear me apart. Sell szczesny instead.
