Arsenal have been put on red alert after Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent revealed the creative midfielder wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.
The Gunners, along with Liverpool, were reportedly linked with a January move for the 26-year-old, who has impressed for Jurgen Klopp’s side since his big money move from Shakhtar Donetsk 2013, but Dortmund were not willing to let him leave this season.
But Arsenal have received a huge boost after the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, admitted the Armenian wants to leave Dortmund, who find themselves rock bottom in the Bundesliga, this summer,
TalkSPORT claim Raiola told German publication Bild:
‘Henrikh wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.
‘We will have to wait and see what we can do.’
Reports linked us with a winter move for the Dortmund midfielder, but nothing transpired which suggests it was nothing more than a rumour. In addition, Arsenal already have a number of creative midfielders in their squad, so a summer move for Mkhitarayan looks highly unlikely to ensue, in my opinion.
