I’ve heard some rumours in my time but this one has got to be the most ridiculous of the lot.
Apparently, Arsenal are set to make an £80 MILLION bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba!
The French international, 21, is expected to leave Juve at the end of the season and a number of high-profile clubs from around Europe, including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United, have been linked with his services.
But it is now believed that the Gunners are ready to enter the race and are lining up an £80 million offer.
It is understood that Arsene Wenger wants to land a top quality midfielder over the summer and although Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin has been repeatedly linked with move to the Emirates, the Frenchman is now considering a big money move for Pogba instead.
Wenger attempted to sign Pogba when he left Manchester United in 2012, but a move never materialized. Since departing Old Trafford, however, box-to-box midfielder has become one of Europe’s most sought after players.
Sorry guys, but I can’t see Wenger spending that amount of money on a single player – even if he is top notch.
