Arsenal are among five clubs weighing up a loan move for Tottenham’s Vlad Chirches, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian publication suggests Spurs want to loan out the Romanian defender this January and give a potential suitor the option of signing the 25-year-old on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Schalke, Napoli, Inter Milan and Roma are thought to be interested in Chiriches, with the latter of the four clubs already making contact with the player’s agent over a possible move.
Arsenal are now believed to be interested in the versatile defender as Arsene Wenger looks to solidify his back-line ahead of the second-half of the season.
However, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will allow Chiriches to move to Arsenal, despite both clubs doing business in the past.
Personally, I don’t want to see Chiriches at our club because he’s not all that! Hence why he plays for the scum.
