Arsenal Hull CityArsenal take on Anderlecht in their third Champions League fixture, having picked up three from a possible six thus far.

The Gunners were embarrassed in Germany against Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund in their opening game 2-0 but responded with a convincing 4-1 victory over Galatasaray at the Emirates two weeks later. Now we travel to Belgium to take the country’s champions in what has turned into a crucial encounter for both sides, as only two points separate the two.

But Arsene Wenger goes in to tomorrow’s game at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium with a limited squad, with as many as 10 on the injury list, including the likes of Mesut Ozil, Yaya Sanogo and Mikel Arteta to name but a few.

Wenger has been left with a weakened defence with Laurent Koscielny and Mathieu Debuchy oth and. If that wasn’t bad enough, Wojciech Szczesny is a doubt for the game and David Ospina is also sidelined, so young Damian Martinez may well have to feature.

So with three crucial Champions League points up for grabs, how should Wenger set out his side?

Well taking into account the injuries and suspensions as well as Szcz being a doubt, here is how Wenger should set out his charges tomorrow night:

Martinez

Bellerin          Mertesacker          Chambers          Gibbs

Flamini

Alexis          Wilshere          Ramsey          Chamberlain

Welbeck

I Know Nacho Monreal has been used as a centre-back a few times, but I just don’t trust him in this position. I would rather see Calum Chambers alongside Per Mertesacker with Kieran Gibbs on the left and Hector Bellerin.

Mathieu Flamini will obviously sit in front of the back four with Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey just in front of the French anchorman.

Alexis Sanchez is more effective cutting in from the right wing and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s pace and power would cause problems to the Belgian side.

With Olivier Giroud out and Lukas Podolski not trusted by Wenger, Danny Welbeck will almost certainly continue to lead the line.

Does your starting XI look different to mine? Would you make any changes to it?
