Loic RemyArsenal can acquire the services of QPR striker Loic Remy for as little as £8 million this summer.

R’s manager Harry Redknapp recently revealed that he does not see the France international at Loftus Road next season, despite the club newly gaining promotion on Saturday to the Premier League.

And a source close to the player said that the 27-year-old has held talks with both Arsenal and Liverpool over a potential summer move.

Redknapp said on the matter:

‘I don’t see [Loic] Remy wanting to come back and play. He’s talking about playing Champions League somewhere.

‘I wouldn’t know what he’ll do, but I think he’s got a buy-out clause which is at a reasonable level. Not much more than we paid for him.’

Remy joined QPR from Marseille in January 2013 for a fee worth around £8 million and is contracted to the London-based club until 2017. But the Frenchman spent last season on loan at Newcastle where he scored 14 goals in 26 Premier League appearances.

The Gunners had previously shown interest in the striker when at Marseille and with a frontman high on Arsene Wenger’s list this summer, an £8 million move for the Frenchman, who was spotted at the Emirates in Arsenal’s last game of the season against West Brom, would be regarded as a bargain.
Arsenal should definitely keep an eye on this potential deal
