josip drmicArsenal will now doubt attempt to sign a striker at the end of the season having failed to land one during the January transfer window.

Several high-profile forwards were linked with a move to the Emirates and we hope to see the same over the summer.

However, the latest name to be added to the ever-growing striker list is Nuremburg Josip Drmic.

According to German newspaper Bild, as reported by Mercato365.com, Arsene Wenger and co. have been tracking the 21-year-old for months and continue to do so.

Drmic joined Nuremburg from FC Zurich last summer and has made 24 appearances for and found the back of the net 11 times so far this season for the Bundesliga side.

The 6’2’’ forward, who is valued at around £6 million and contracted to Nuremburg until 2017, has also been capped five times for Switzerland but is largely unknown across Europe.

I’m pretty sure a lot of Arsenal fans (including myself) won’t be happy if Wenger decides to sign Drmic over a proven striker at the end of the season.
