EduardoFormer Arsenal striker Eduardo recently revealed he would like to one day return to the club.

The 30-year-old spent three seasons at Arsenal before moving to current club Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010 for an undisclosed fee believed to be in £6 million.

But the Croatian has been linked with a move away from the Ukrainian outfit this January.

And with Arsene Wenger on the hunt to sign another striker to aide Olivier Giroud upfront, Eduardo has refused to rule out a potential return to Arsenal in the future.

Speaking to Italian publication Il Sussidiaro, as reported by SkySports.com, Eduardo said on the matter:

‘I do not know anything about it, other than what I read in the media.

‘But of course, who would not like to go to Arsenal? Everybody knows that when I left, everything was done in a friendly manner.

‘We are still friends and after leaving I spoke several times with Arsene Wenger. I still have many friends in London but of course this does not mean that I will come back to Arsenal.’

Taking this all into account and the fact that we need to bring in another striker before the month ends, would Eduardo be a smart option for Wenger to consider? More importantly, would you like to see him back at the club?

Personally, I wouldn’t mind him coming back to Arsenal this January. He is a natural goal-scorer with great technical ability and was doing well for us before his horrific leg break almost six years ago. Having said that, is he what he used to be?

Although he isn’t a ‘big-name’ striker we all crave, Eduardo would certainly help out Giroud with the goals, knows the club’s style of football and possesses Premier League experience which is all beneficial.

he isn’t my first-choice by any means but I think he could do a job for us and depending on how much he is going for, I think Wenger should think about re-signing the Croat if his other ‘targets’ are not acquirable.

Of course, he would be the best transfer we could do this window. Just like Flamini was the best transfer of all last window.
Eduardo is hungry, hard working and needs no aclimatisation.
    And he is cheep.
Abumeyang (spelling?) would also be a good deal of business.
    And Draxler next summer

Forget about Eduardo! He’s light and unable to get behind defenders.

I would love to see him back… If he can still do the job like he used to pre injury. A really nice and popular guy.

Absolutely not. He is a striker living on planet park.there is no room for sentiment anymore we won naff all with with him before and won’t win naff all again. come on fellas we need world class ability to keep up with city and Chelsea not players who can’t get in 3rd rate first x1s

YES! Eduardo too has unfinished business. He will bring I am sure a creative spark into the heart of Arsenal’s attack. He has pace and technical skills of an Arsenal player still!
