Would Wenger be foolish not to consider this proposed offer from Monaco?

Theo WalcottMonaco are considering a massive £34 million move for Theo Walcott.

Reports claim the French fat cats want to add the England winger to their star-studded squad which include the likes of Joao Moutinho, Radamel Falcao and are willing to exceed over the £30 million mark to do so.

However, Arsene Wenger is unlikely to let Walcott, who at the start of the year signed a new long-term deal to remain at the Emirates albeit interest from several clubs before hand, leave and also believes the 24-year-old is happy at Arsenal.

Walcott had a productive season for the Gunners last term, contributing 21 goals and 14 assists in 43 appearances, but has he has yet to net a Premier League goal thus far.

Walcott has not featured for Wenger’s side since Arsenal’s 2-1 away win in the Champions League against Marseille after suffering an abdominal strain, but is expected to be back for the game at Old Trafford next week.

Despite signing a new deal at Arsenal in January, should, if Monaco table a £34 million offer for Walcott, the club consider it?

Walcott’s consistency has been a real problem for us in the past few seasons, and his decision making has caused us all to hurl abuse at him in the past. But he looks to be finally finding his groove and, dare I say it, becoming a big player for our current system this season.

However, £34 million is a hell of a lot of money and Wenger would be foolish not to consider taking it.

£34 million for Walcott – would you accept it?

You are foolish to think about him considering it!!! Walcott is an important part of the team and he will be here for year to come… Hate fans that don’t regard players that help the team.

The reason Arsenal has struggled to win in the last decade is its inability to hold on to important players. The reason Arsenal is doing well this season is that it has retained all of their important players from last season and then added to that. Wengerball depends on continuity, on familiarity between players. It would be foolish to sell Walcott. Arsenal does not need the money. It needs the continuity.

This team really lacks balance. He’s the closest we have to a winger – someone to stretch the defence. We’ve struggled without him!

This a repeat of what other wrote already, but dud right now we are suffering of Walcott absence what are you thinking about????? He has been with us when he was not as good as he is now and now he is one of best right wing and even can play up front an you say foolish to not sale him???? The question is who can we buy?? And how much the new top class winger will cost us??? An how long take it to adopt in our squad??? Then 34 million after all is nothing.

am 100% certain that if wenger take that offer and sell walcot, you will be the first to write an article calling arsenal a selling club and start a wenger out calls. to answer your question is no walcot should stay here because of his importance to the team and I cant wait to see him and ozil click.

  • ChaZZa says:
