Should we push forward with this proposed deal?

Marouane FellainiThe need to sign a real powerhouse midfielder has been on top of our list since the start of the transfer window this summer.

Marouane Fellaini has been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates this summer, with his £23 million release clause yet to be triggered by The Gunners, or anyone else for that matter.

However, it is rumored that Arsene Wenger is prepared to offer Everton cash upfront plus Aaron Ramsey who has failed to live up to expectation since his leg break a few years ago against Stoke.

Ramsey is valued at around £7 million by the club and are ready to offer the Welshaman to the The Toffees plus £17 million in order to get their hands on Fellaini, though Roberto Martinez is reluctant to let his star player leave and would, if he were to sell him, rather receive the full amount of cash upfront.

But would this be a good deal to push forward?

It’s hard to say. I like Ramsey and it would be sad to see him leave. But should this be the only way we can land Fellaini this summer, without the need to dish out the full £23 million, then I say let’s press on with this proposed deal and use the Welsh midfielder to sweeten the deal.

Ramsey had a few solid games for us last season, but the constant out of position starts he’s had under Wenger, which have led to some of his not so good performances, may not end. Its best we ship him out and bring in the big Belgian before another club decides to snap him up from under our noses.

Should we offer Ramsey plus cash to sign Fellaini?

upon all our effort to sign higuain. It leads to nothing. So how can we sell ramsey, all bcoz we want to get fellaini is on fair we can’t,we have money to sign fellaini without ramsey. So mr wenger go and bring us fellaini and leave ramsey alone.

No ramsey is a good player we can not loss I will advice wenger to pay d 23m for fellani cos we need both and benteke also cos we. Need we win trophies and I as a person belives in him

  • jack says:

Keep Ramsey, pay the Fellani’s release clause. He will be a difference maker. If this deal doesn’t happen, I want Arsene Wenger out

  • Major says:

Ramsey is going to be better than flaming and diarra so no exchange plse we love our Rambo is not moreconsistent than wilshere

  • Doubledutch says:

Ramsay was one of the best prospects before he was butchered by a thug (sound familiar?) and although I like him I think that it would be sound business. Fellaini is a quality player who can drive on box to box, defend, score goals and kick arse. Whether we do it or not remains to be seen, but maybe that is why we are sniffing around Barry too. Fellaini and Barry as cover at £4m is good business.

Nooo!!we can have fellaini without Rambo..we have money now to sign any player..we want.. not to give them Rambo he’s a good player…

  • lcw says:

First: AW will never pay 23 millions for any player not even Messi.
Second: He will never get rid of Ramsey and rightfully so because Ramsey is exactly what Wegner likes.

  • Aj says:

There is more chance of Wenger signing me up as his main striker than there is of this deal happening!

  • ben ashua says:

And Ramseys only 22, 2 years younger that fellaini who we can afford so get him wenger. I think wanyama or Yann M`vila or pogba would be better though. Get it done along with higuain!
