Julio CesarJulio Cesar wants to stay in London, which should put Arsene Wenger on red alert.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper looks set to leave QPR following their relegation from the Premier League last season, with Roma and Arsenal the only two clubs at present believed to be interested in the Brazilian.

But Cesar’s latest comments will put The Gunners in pole position for his signature after revealing his desire to stay in the capital.

He told The Sun:

‘I love the city and I’m enjoying living there.

‘Now I have to do things right at my club so I can be considered for the World Cup.’

Harry Redknapp will not stand in Cesar’s way this summer and with the World Cup under a year away, the Brazil international will want to play regularly at the highest level.

Arsenal would be an ideal destination for Cesar as they can offer him Champions League football and are of coursed based in London.

Wenger is understood to be keen on signing a shot-stopper to challenge Wojciech Szczesny for the number one spot this season.

Cesar wouldn’t command a big transfer fee, nor will his wages be too high to match.

If Wenger is looking to add an experienced goalkeeper to his squad this summer then Cesar should be his man.

Hopefully, Arsene acts fast and makes a move for the Brazilian ASAP.
