Should Wenger attempt to re-sign this man?

|

Cesc FabregasFootball never sleeps. Weeks after major all European Leagues closed their doors to mark the end of the season, talks of the new campaign were the order of the day. Only hours later with transfer rumours and future expectation topping the list.

Transfer rumours gets everyone wondering and hoping for new arrivals. In Arsenals case it would be less of a new arrival and more like the return of the prodigal son.

Who is this player you ask?

non-other than Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas is undoubtedly one of Arsenal’s icons despite leaving for boyhood club Barcelona in 2011 for a deal worth £35 million.

The Spanish midfielder has slowly become a fringe player over the years at the Nou Camp – something that has become common with Arsenal players who tend to join Barca, or any other team for that matter. As a result, major clubs have been put on high alert as the 26-year-old appears to be seeking a return to the Premier League.

But the question is – should Wenger bring him back to the club which made him what he is today?

In a word – yes! Who wouldn’t take Cesc back. He’s a world class player who Arsenal fans would no doubt love to see return to The Emirates.

Arsenal have first option to buy Cesc back, but with reports suggesting he wants to join former team-mate and friend Robin Van Persie at Manchester United, we could be involved in yet another bidding war, as the Spanish star would no doubt be torn between the love he has for Arsenal and his thirst to win trophies.

It is suggested he wants to stay another season at Barca, but his position in the side would’ve no doubt worsen with the imminent arrival of Neymar.

Nonetheless, signing him would no doubt add to our existing squad and who knows, his potential return may aid our need in the pursuit of world class talent and silverware next season.

If he becomes available should Arsenal look to bring Cesc back?

why not he is a great player to have in your team……he is one of the great midfielders at this time….!!!!!

  • Neal says:

    In a word – no.

In more than a word – we had to adapt our style of play significantly to fit him in, we’ve lost the counter-attacking edge we had before Cesc. In addition, Cesc wanted everything to be played through him – we are a much more dynamic team without.
