Newcastle close in on out-of-favour Gunner

|

GervinhoNewcastle are closing in on Gervinho, with the 26-year-old’s agent reportedly negotiating a deal with The Magpies.

Gervinho joined Arsenal from Lille in 2011 for around £10 million but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s side, making just 61 appearances in all competitions (18 starts this season) and contributing 11 goals and 12 assists. And it is believed The Gunners will listen to offers of around £10 million for the Ivory Coast international.

To be honest, if we receive an offer in the region of £10 million for Gervinho then I think the club should consider it.

He hasn’t made an impact at The Emirates since he joined and looks to be out-of-favour with Wenger. So is there any point of keeping him on our books? I don’t think so.

Marseille are also linked with the winger.

If this romour holds some truth, then Arsenal will live to regret this decision. We have no strikes or players that cause headache/impact on the the opponents and you still sell the one you have?

So who will support 11 and 7 in case of any trouble? Poldo and Walcott want a front number.

Or do you think Wenger will sign more than 3 quality experienced players? Watch space then.

There are more none impact players in the squad but instead of off loading them first you instead hate the ones who have contributed to the team?

You can’t be serious, even as cover he falls flat as a striker. All this shit about his confidence is I feel really about his inconsistency as a player and he simply can’t be relied upon. Better to move one of our many midfielders forward instead of hoping his ‘feather duster’ feet actually find the net.

It is obvious that there has been a sea change at Arsenal, deadwood floating out and new blood in. It is not as if we won’t buy a new striker!

Gervihno, close the door behind you son…

Selling Gervinho will be a mistake. He is the only player that can make the opponent struggle with his skills. He is a great player to come from the bench on the 70th minute. However if we do sell him an exchange for Ben arfa would be nice! 🙂

  • pliz dont sell gevinho He is avery creative player.

The key to success for Arsenal is to hold on to the 1st 18 players in las seasons squad, then young promising ones like Gab, Eisf, Akp, Ryo, Campbell, etc and sort out the ones who couldn’t even make a bench.

Otherwise the problem of dreaming of every player everywhere won’t work. assembling new players from other leagues will be a failure, premiership is different and Wenger won’t buy many anyway.

All those players we have tried to sign in previous markets and have refused to come second in picking or shouldn’t be contacted at all. We need players who love the club/ arsenal game not money.

Since Arsenal talked of Fellaini, all the previous ones including those who were resisting have now been put on open market in a shortest time. Ie; Capoue, Val Mathiaus, Flamini, Griener, Wanyama, David Villa etc.

Arsenal is not a dumping area, billionnaire or a fishing pond.

Why do we Arsenal fans destroy the confidence of our players before they set foot on the pitch.

Gervinho is a classic case of a player who needs our support.

The weakness at Arsenal right now is our supporters.

We would have won the league if it was just away games…. Take a leaf from the away fans.

Supporting Arsenal is supporting the manager and the players too.

    End of rant. COYG!!!

Gerviniho, is just not good enough for Arsenal, we can do a lot better.. If this transfer rumour is true, and Newcastle offer up 10 million then we should take it and let him go..He has had flashes of brilliance over the last couple of seasons but more often than not goes missing.. He is not a natural goal scorer either and has been guilty of some woeful finishing in recent times… Shame really as he seems a decent sort of guy, but as I said not a good enough player for Arsenal..

  • nico says:

Not sure about Ben arfa, he is a talent, but he is inconsistent n not easy to manage…

  • Phil says:

Did you even read the source?! It’s from when he was at Lille!
