Get your cheque book out Wenger and sign this proven midfielder!

|

Marouane FellainiWe’ve been linked with a move for Marouane Fellaini, and although the Belgian midfielder is happy at Everton, he has stated in the past that he will consider leaving the Merseyside club for one participating in the Champions League next season.

Arsene Wenger is REPORTEDLY looking to add quality to his squad this summer and is eyeing up a move for the 25-year-old Everton man.

However, recent reports suggest the Frenchman is unwilling to meet the £23 million release clause in Fellaini’s contract. Is he for real?

Ivan Gazidis has stressed time and time again that Wenger will have sufficient funds available to spend, but is looks like Le Boss is reluctant to spend over-the-odds for any potential recruits this summer. Nothing new there then.

But following the departure of David Moyes, Fellaini’s future looks unclear, despite Roberto Martinez wanting to keep the midfielder. And after five years at Goodison Park, making 171 appearances and finding the net 32 times, the Belgium international may well seek a new challenge if a club like Arsenal come calling.

So why is Wenger refusing (reportedly of course) to splash out £23 million on a proven, Premier League star? It’s simply beyond me.

What does he expect to get Fellaini for? £10 million? It’s just not going to happen.

The fact is if you want to sign the big-names you have to spend big money. Unfortunately that’s the way football is nowadays. And it’s not like we can’t afford to sign him. We are in a very secure financial state from what I hear.

£23 million, I think, is a fair valuation for Fellaini. He has proven over the years that he is a quality player and I can’t for the life of me think why Wenger wouldn’t want lined up alongside the likes of Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere. The Belgian is tenacious, great in the air, bags goals and isn’t afraid to put his foot in. He would be a brilliant signing for us in every sense.

If Wenger is expecting to buy quality players for small amounts of money and compete for silverware next season then he’s got another thing coming.

Just do the right thing for once and forget about the consequences – cough up the £23 million and sign the midfielder who can ultimately make the difference for us next season. It’s as simple as that!

It was announced this afteroon that Arsenal have forked out a club record £37.22p on “Chips” Keswick who was dug up during the search for Richard III. Arsene Wenger commented on on Arsenal.Com “Chips is like a new siging for us and I hope this will confirm to our fans that we are serious in our intentions in the transfer market”. Chips, it would appear is more of a realistic midfield option than Fellini…

    Sign or resign
Simple as that if you are not up to the job
You have to pay top money for top quality

I won’t accuse Arsenal Fans of being impatience because we have waited for eight Trophyless season. But I still think Arsene remains the man to take us to the promise land! We are still in June, I think he is doing his underground Job, with the money in his possession he will get us some quality players that can bring us glory. Felliani is a good player but from my point of view he can’t fit into our game! He was bought as a DM at Everton but that’s not his position now, he has been deployed to play as a supporting attacker where we have abundance talents, so where do you think he can play at Arsenal? We need a veira or bousquet type in our DM not Felliani! And I don’t think he whot £23m. So on the transter front, let’s judge Wenger by August.

As usual, its the same old Arsenal and the Grence with the fans. These scrooges will not spend the money on classy players but on cheaper ones he can train and sell off for 25mill.We are now the laughing stock as ManU fans and others believe Wenger will not spend that warchest because its not in his DNA.Please prove us wrong by assembling a team worthy of winning something, anything.

A team won’t win anything with Fallaini. He is an expensive duffer- a kick and rush merchant. Get real!

  • graham l efc says:

Fellani is a cracking player started the season like a train until he got his head turned by all this crap so if he wants to go dig deep cause he is available but will be sold for a good price you willl find he has a major presence i think he is better than viera

  • graham l efc says:

Twivil if you are saying everton are kick and rush in your comment you are wrong its the likes of fellani that has made us into a decent strong side as i said earlier if you want to improve your side you will have to dig deep he wont be cheap we dont need to sell

Everton fan in peace here – no offence lads but the chances of Fellaini joining are non exsistent its a sideways move. He has said his ‘destiny’ is with us, we’ve been closer to winning silverware since he signed than you guys. Plus his release clause is £25 mil. All these media reports have stemmed from 1 article written by a liverpool fan. If hes going anywhere its Madrid, has been spotted there with Zidane on 2/3 occasions.

  • cmorrisefc says:

Oh and a quick word on Wenger, transfer policy of becoming a selling club is awful. But as a manager hes now the best in the league (now fergies gone) the man is a miracle worker, look at the team you have and you finish 4th every year!!!
