It’s something that we didn’t want confirmation on but Laurent Koscielny’s agent has sated the French centre-back IS wanted by both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Due to his impressive and assured performances in the closing weeks of the season, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the likes of Barcelona and Bayern are targeting the 27-year-old.
And Koscielny’s comments earlier this month, which he stated he would consider his options if the club didn’t secure silverware soon, have put Arsenal on the edge. More so now than ever after his representative Stephane Courbois confirmed that the France international is (unfortunately for us) attracting interest.
With regards to the Barca and Bayern rumours, Courbois said:
‘I know that Laurent is part of a shortlist of three or four players for both clubs.’
Courbois did however say that no contact has been made from Barca, contrary to what is being reported in Spain.
I can’t see Koscielny leaving this summer, despite strong interest from two of Europe’s major clubs.
However, we have to heed his warning and ultimately deliver what he and what everyone associated with the club wants – silverware. Otherwise we will be seeing the Frenchman leave The Emirates in the near future, despite signing a new long-term deal back in 2012.

Good news as far as I am concerned. This is what has happened for the past few seasons we all know..the best players leaving due to a lack of investment in proven talent.
I don’t think even Arsene can ignore this and take the risk of another exodus of quality. If it therefore forces his hand – this time, it might just result in the incoming talent we all crave!!
Kosielny can respect his contract and focus on making our team as good as it can be
