Major blow for Arsenal as striking target agrees terms with Juve

|

gonzalo higuainSpanish football expert Kay Murray believes Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is close to joining Juventus, having agreed terms with the Serie A champions.

The 25-year-old has already been told by the Real Madrid hierarchy that he can leave the club this summer, with Arsenal and Juventus reportedly interested in signing the Argentine.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen on strengthening his strike-force this summer and reports suggest the Frenchman has targeted Higuain, who netted 17 goals in 46 appearances in total this season, as a potential recruit.

But, according to Murray, it seems Higuain’s representatives have already spoken to Juventus about a summer move to the Serie A club and have even agreed terms.

Murray told talkSPORT:

‘The latest news is that he and his brother Frederico [his agent] has spoken to Juventus and they’ve agreed terms, if it’s to go ahead.

‘Now it’s obviously up to Real Madrid what happens.

‘But it looks like Higuain is keen to go to Juve, if he goes anywhere, which is a shame because it would be great to see him in England.

‘But I do think he would fit in well in Serie A.’

It is believed that a transfer fee of around £22 million would be enough for Real Madrid to sell Higuain, who still has three-years left to run on his current deal at the Bernabeu.

So if Wenger is interested in bringing the Argentine to The Emirates then he better pull his finger out and make a move for him ASAP!

Wenger is not serious for buying good players

  • Logicool Gooner says:

Stop moaning u stupid supporters! Have u ever run a football club? Do u know what it takes? “Oh Arsene is not serious” “We need to buy good players”. U guys are talking like we are playing with Monopoly money, £25mil is a lot of money, u expect us to just pay the asking price for everyone. Use ur brain we don’t have to pay extortionate money for a good player we’ve proved this time & time again. Henry, Cesc, Toure, Adebayor, Nasri, Song, need I go on?

  • Clown Shoes says:

Don’t rate Higuain. so no worries there.

As for the bitching above – please go and support City or Chelsea.

If you really can’t stand the way the club is run, no one is forcing you to support the team.

In fact it is the sign of complete idiocy if you don’t enjoy something but keep returning paying money expecting something else to happen only to whinge – why would you bother..? You have a choice.

    • Sigh says:

Because they are real Arsenal fans and suuport the team throught thick and thin.

They also have right to express their concerns, not just infatuated AKBers.

  • Raz says:

@Clown Shoes, some people like yourself seem to choose mediocrity. Chances are you don’t actually spend hard earned money watching Arsenal (basically an arm chair supporter) or it would actually hurt a little more.

  • Tom says:

Stop arguing…. The news of Arsenal interested in him might be fabricated ones….or Gunners not really desperate in acquiring his services after all… He is merely “an icon” used to dupe those season tickets holders to renew their season tickets for thinking “oh we are ambitious this time round”!!! We still got times anyway…. the ball is on AW & board members’ side and let’s wait & see if we are enduring another “oh we are ambitious but the type of talent we want is not available” soap opera….

  • jessie says:

logicool you look like the one that most stupid here. 9 years without trophies and u expect fanz to be happy? For what? Cl qualification? Nonsence. Next time if you dont have any thing to say, should shut ur mouth. It seems you are paid by wenger to protect his interest. You are not a gunner fan, you are a wenger fan.
