Gunners put on alert as Celtic star uncertain over future

|

Victor WanyamaVictor Wanyama has put Arsenal on red alert as the Celtic enforcer recently revealed his future in Scotland is uncertain.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to The Emirates and with his current deal whining down, the Scottish champions are eager to tie down the combative midfielder to a new contract to ward off any interest in him.

However, despite being happy at Celtic, Wanyama has revealed his future at Celtic is not certain.

Quoted in the Metro, the Kenya international recently said:

‘I just leave the club and my agent to sort everything out. You never know. We will see.’

When asked if this was his best season at Celtic since joining the club two years ago, he said:

‘I would say yes because we have won two in a row and also we have the (Scottish) Cup to play for.

‘Being in the last 16 of the Champions League is a great thing for a player to achieve.

‘It has been a great season and we have really enjoyed it.

‘Celtic is a good club and my team-mates have been great. They have been strong and just a very good team.’

Wanyama still has two-years left to run on his current deal at Celtic Park but despite having his best season at the club, the defensive powerhouse could well hand in a transfer request at the end of the season knowing that there are several clubs interested in his services. Plus, his father reckons his son is ready to move on and would like him to join Arsenal if he were to leave Celtic.

last thing i want is for victor to leave celtic.

arsenal is truly the best destination for wanyama..

  • Ror says:

If tge arsenal make only one signing Vic is the one for arsenal.

  • Joe says:

Yeah, okay. Who’s kidding who here?

Move from Celtic, one of the biggest clubs in the game, to Arsenal, a team who among them can’t spell “win” and who have the biggest cheat in the game as a manager. A manager who actually takes time to coah his players to dive and fake injuries to try gaining penalties etc.

Arsenal are a nothing club and have been a nothing club for around eight years.

I bet you are a Spud

That previous comment appears to be some kind of attempt at a racist jibe. I would advise moderators to have it removed without delay before other sources pick up on it.

        • Chris says:

          Racist ? Please explain.

        • Tim Molloy says:

Perhaps it would be more appropriate to ask Kymulla to explain exactly what he means when he says he bets that a previous poster is a “Spud”.
Sounds like an anti-Irish racist slur because the previous poster was talking up Celtic.

        • James says:

Mate, a spud is a spurs fan (always with the racism!)

      • Tim Molloy says:

Well thanks for the friendly explanation. First I ever heard of it. Must be a Gooner thing…. 🙂

    • vino says:

You are right Joe with what you said about the arsenal diving faking injuries. We all remember the Eduardo dive against Celtic and “penalty”.Then he was given a 2 match ban which was taken away by uefa…a bunch of gangsters. Hail hail. I hope wanyama stays at Celtic for next season’s Champions league.

    • Chris says:

And Celtic are really special are they hahahahaha!!

    • atid says:

      Twat
U are having a laugh. Neil lennon now there is a complete asshole and as for a nothing team. When u have played champions league football as long us arsenal and qualified by beating competitve professional football teams not pub sides then comeback on here. Until then rot in your countrys joke of a football league. The sooner u scumbags vote for independance the better oh and take your fake monopoly money with ya!

      • Tim Molloy says:

When your team have played in as many European Champions finals as Celtic and been crowned Champions of Europe, them you can crow 🙂
You have a cheek to sneer at Celtic.
Celtic won the European Champion’s cup fair and square when it was only Champions allowed, and before the big money, corruption, game rigging and seeding were introduced.

  • paul says:

where is the rest of the interview? the rest of it where he says he is staying at celtic next season and the rest of it hoping lennon stays to take them further?

    • bc says:

The rest of the interview is hopefully jammed between joe’s but cheeks or down his throat it is hard to tell the difference as crap comes out of both ends

  • Stevo says:

from London now livebin Glasgow playing SPL n handful champions league games is no measurement or basis for us to buy the big guy…ive watched spl its a Sunday league at best….reckon we can buy better…n spud is nickname for spurs. .ha ha if you’re from Glasgow buddy the word spud is nuffin to the bile u lot gobon about…

  • Paul says:

Y go to arsenal? Wigan have won more in 7 yrs. if you go to arsenal its for money and nothing else. He would be a complete and utter waste under wenger, better players than wanyama had their careers un tatters until they left.

    • Stevo says:

money! Arsenal! if u said chelsea or manu or city I’d agree he’ll get more money at nearly any other decent league in Europe Scottish footy is skint with poor salaries and it is getting worse the guy wants to advance his career he’ll get that at arsenal personally dont want him….

  • Andy says:

He supports manure fuck him I don’t want him to play for us.

  • Larry says:

Arsenal are normally In champions league of that there is no doubt but up here in Scotland we go in as champions not 3rd or 4th as they do in other tv revenue fed countries..

    • Stevo says:

yes cos u are the only team up there. ..rest of ur teams are conference teams at best probably more like pub teams…Scottish footy will end up like irish league in 2 / 5 years time it’s a Sunday league with one big team…lived here gor 5 years n its pathetic more crowds st mcdonalds or burger king than a game…with the exception of parkhead but even most celtic fans I know are bored outta their nuts….

  • Popes11 says:

Said it before and i’ll say it again..

The English Premier is without a doubt the most over rated league in the world. The German Spanish and even the Italians are miles ahead of you. Even with our current crop of players Celtic would be a top 6 team in your league in their first season and within five years (with all that money at their disposal)they would be so far ahead of every other team it would become embarrassing. End of Story.

    • Stevo says:

agreed german league have watched for years but you wont ever play down here won’t happen..best bet would be to join irish league between u both would then maybe have a almost average league plus the sympathies that are widely sung and supported would be well received…lot of teams would be great with the cash….

      • Popes11 says:

Agree with you.. Celtic will not play in the English Premier, i never actually said they would. It’s a European super league we’ll be invited into in the coming years. Your obviously a Sevco supporter and still hurting badly as your beloved (soon to be Sevco 2)team (commonly known as the tribute act) are currently plying their trade in the third division. GBTP

        • Stevo says:

eh what’s sevco? Obviously something Scottish…anyhow im a Arsenal fan buddy no pain at dream on euro super league wont happen..if it did u guys wouldnt figure your not big or successful enuff competitively..typical deluded old firm fan talking up how great they sre cos between them they’ve dominated a Sunday league for donkeys…..
