Monaco recently entered the race to sign Bacary Sagna and look set to smash their transfer record to land Malaga ace Isco, who is reportedly on Arsene Wenger’s radar.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the La Liga side, contributing 11 goals and four assists in 39 appearances in all competitions so far this season and as such has attracted interest from many European clubs.
Isco still has three-years left to run on his existing deal but has a £30 million release clause within his contract, which could well be triggered this summer as Malaga are in financial problems.
The Gunners are keen on the Spaniard but reports in AS claim Monaco have emerged as frontrunners for his signature.
Monaco are highly likely to be playing in the top flight of French football next season and their Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev is willing to splash the cash to make them a European force once again.
The Spanish publication claim the Ligue 2 outfit have already agreed a £23.8 million deal with Malaga for Isco. If this is true then Wenger will have to turn his attention elsewhere.

Monaco is in Ligue 2 right now? OK, consider that they play at Ligue 1 next season, I don’t see the reason why he will choose them. We’ve more reputation (in the past),and I’m sure we still in CL next year. Besides, we’ve his ex compatriots who can make very good suggestion. My worry is on the bidding war.
Gotze cost 32 mil…..given that is Isco really worth £30 mil ??? he’s good and i could Wenger bidding 20/25 mil…But no more, especially if these Draxler rumours are to be believed.
