Bayern pip Arsenal to German whizzkid’s signature

|

Mario GotzeSo reports in Spain suggest we’ve lost out to Monaco for Malaga’s Isco, and now, according to German sports paper Bild, Bayern have pipped us to the signature of Dortmund starlet Mario Gotze.

Gotze had been on Arsene Wenger’s radar in the past and reportedly tabled a £35 million bid for the German playmaker two years ago which was rejected.

But it seems Bayern have captured his signature by triggering his £30 million release clause in his contract earlier in the week.

A statement from Dortmund’s Facebook page read:

‘Mario Gotze’s agent Volker Struth told us a few days ago that the player wishes to make use of his release clause and on July 1, 2013 move to Bayern Munich.’

Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke also had his say on the imminent transfer but claims he has yet to hear anything from the Bavarian giants:

‘We are obviously disappointed beyond measure, but emphasise that both Mario and his advisers have behaved within the terms of the contract. From Bayern Munich there has been nothing official on this matter up to this date.’

Reports last month suggested Wenger was eyeing up Gotze this summer and even willing to spend big to land the 20-year-old to bolster his squad for next season’s campaign. However, it looks like the Frenchman has missed out on one of his top transfer targets to Pep Guardiola’s side.

Arsene Wenger tabled 35MIL TWO YEARS AGO , who in there mighty belief is going to believe that bullshit ,we offered 35mil two years ago for an up an coming player of what he is today, nonsense , Arsene WEenger would’nt offer 35mil for Messi let Goetze,Dreamland that’s where we are Arsenal will never be a mighty force as long as Kreonke and Grazides are in the front line of our once great club ,Arsenal Fc ARE DYING OF DEATH AND SLOWLY WILL DISSAPEAR INTO mid table unless we can influence someone to get that nasty American out of our club , what is his business there apart from money ,Arsenal FC are a money machine so why would he sell , we must make this a big focus to get Kreonke out , surely he must know that he is not wanted there .we have try and bring in Usmanov to give life to the club once again and take us back to the top where we should rightly be .. Every year winning zilch is a very unconfortable feeling.

We ought to get used to this kind of disappointment – what surprises me is that we actuallt believed that Arsenal and Wenger had a chance of signing anyone like this – we don’t. We should shop where we can afford – I suggest the French amateur leagues…

I am an Arsenal fan but I would say that Dortmund are probably a bigger team now than Arsenal which means there is no reason why Goetze would’ve left Dortmund to play for Arsenal. Face facts people, if your team wins nothing for 8 years they are no longer an elite club. Chelsea will get Falcao, City will get Cavani, United will get Lewandowski and Arsenal will get a player inferior to any of them increasing the gap between them and us. The club is stuck in a rut.

I’ve said many times that it was time wastefull to chase Gotzy, who no doubt, can’t life faraway from mommy. And for that reason, one of it actually, he joined the big rival. Whata? Little Gotzy isn’t just a homesicker, he’s a traitor too. Dortmund fans, maybe still right now, are burning his jersey. And ironicaly he will face his future club, if the Germans don’t messed up, in the LC finale. What a perfect timing to declare you’re move Gotzy. And for Arsene, will you please focus on Isco. Don’t mess this time. We still trust on you.
