We’d be foolish not to consider Galatasaray’s potential offer for this man

|

GervinhoReports in Turkey claim Galatasaray are preparing a summer bid to sign Gervinho, and Arsenal could be willing to sell the Ivorian forward.

The 25-year-old has struggled to settle at The Emirates since his arrival from Lille in July 2011 and it is thought Arsene Wenger may look to cut his losses when the summer transfer window opens.

Turkish football website webaslan.com suggest Galatasaray are ready to offer Arsenal £12 million for the Ivory Coast international which would see our club make a £2 million profit, having signed Gervinho for around £10 million.

Gervinho, who is contracted to Arsenal until 2015, has dropped down the pecking order and as such Wenger would more than likely consider any offers for the inconsistent winger, with the Frenchman setting his sights on Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic this summer.

We have Lukas Podolski, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and even Santi Cazorla, who is more effective in the free role, who are all ahead of Gervinho.

I don’t think he is technically gifted enough to play for our club, his performances in the past two seasons are proof of this, and there are far better first-team players, even youngsters, ahead of him.

If we can pocket £12 million for him this summer then we’d be robbing Galatasaray!

You don’t just get rid of players without making provision for replacement. Buy Standard and Profesional players to make the squad strong and ensure that 70% of the players is from the league.
    Gunners till I fade off.

Sometimes particular players and clubs dont fit.Think of veron and forlan at man utd,or of van bronkhorst etc at arsenal. That doesnt mean that they are bad footballers.Move him on and unleash the ox on the left next year with instructions to run his full back ragged at every opportunity
