Well it’s been three days now since what I can honestly and only describe as the worst performance by Arsenal I have ever witnessed.
I think the result speaks for itself about the state of Arsenal FC currently, a club that hasn’t won anything – in terms of silverware – in seven years and six months. We arguably got, on paper, the easiest quarter-final draw in the Capital One Cup, a draw that had many fans on Twitter jumping for joy about what ‘could be’ this season.
Then came the usual Arsenal apprehension going into the game against Bradford City, after losing at home to Swansea and only narrowly beating West Brom previously. To say my optimism wasn’t at its greatest would be an understatement, but I expected us to win.
Then came the performance which saw us really fail to turn up. Having gone 1-0 down in the first-half, without even registering a shot on target, left me fuming.
The second-half didn’t get much better with it taking Arsenal a full 70 minutes to actually get a shot on target against a team 41 places below them – in terms of league positions.
Having eventually got the equalizer through Thomas Vermaelen’s head, there was a sense of belief that we could go on to win this. But I was proven wrong.
Going into penalties with no confidence in the Arsenal team for me was just soul destroying, even when we had the chance to get back in it when Wojciech Szczesny saved Ritchie Jones and Stephen Darby penalties that little glimmer of hope came in and was taken away when Verminator, who’s goal put us through to penalties to begin with, hit the post on his attempt, sending us crashing out of COC.
This left me stunned and the entire event just left me empty – trying to put it into words was difficult. It was almost as if the team I had grown up loving and supporting for 32 years had disappeared. My faith in Wenger has all but gone.
Over the last 72 hours of contemplation has left me with just one last chance for Wenger to prove he’s still the right man for the job. I know a lot of people will be saying it isn’t deserved and he needs to go, but I have strayed away from the #WengerOut Twitter comments for as long as I could.
So what is his one last chance you ask? Well for me it boils down to the January transfer window and the remaining games this month. 48 days in which during we have to play against Reading (away), Wigan (away), West Ham (home), Newcastle (home) Southampton (away), Swansea (away – FA Cup), Manchester City (home), Chelsea (away) and Liverpool (home).
For me i have lost faith in wenger and he should be sack.if wenger stay for 100 years arsenal will be 100 years without trophy.wenger should be sack we fans dont have faith in him anymore.we fans need trophy and we need guadiola to win us trophy not wenger pls pls pls pls pls pls and pls sack wenger we dont need his service anylonger.we dont need ramsey to sign another contract insted of him signing another contract they should sale him and use his money on another good player that can play and win us trophy.sack sack sack sack sack sack and pls sack wenger.we fans is calling on the board to pls sack wenger and apoint guadiola before january.thanks.
Wenger must go. No sentiments aaout this issue. The hour deciision has come.. Wenger does not listen to advice but mind u that football is not an individual game where u take decision.collective effort brings success.Augustine.
Guys, the bored are NEVER going to sack Wenger, the only way will be if he leaves on his own accord. The Board are part of the problem
Ive supported Arsenal for 65 years seen many managers come and go, Arsene Wenger truly was a good player Manager,However he decided that quality youth and his perception of how the game shoulkd be played was the right way forward, we’ve seen Arsenal play some exceptional games,and pundits all over the world said what a good Manager Arsene is,sorry was, unfortuately, success has brought with it domination, lack of perception,poor judgement,and an unwillingness to listen to the fans.Result being players of any Quality dont want to sign contracts because they to want success, and they have lost faith in the master,I would hate to see Arsene sacked because he has the ability, but has lost his way.Don’t be a hasbin you are French and have diginity , honour , integirty, realise you are human and most definately Listen
Wenger is a coward who lost two champions league trophy being finalists and eight years without even capital one cup. he lead 16 years without CL cup. doesn’t make sense. cunt! I believe won’t win EPL even if having mesi and ronaldo cause he has not winning mentality!
thanks for realising his time is up.his stay has been long overdue,n the next time the club want to immortalise a manager,it should be done after his departure or retirement,for AW feels he is bigger than the club n even he practically owns it.we have a decent team that lacks a manager with AMBITION,its best we part ways,we should all agree from what we see that buying players wouldn’t solve anything if we still have the same manager.more over we had quality players n still under achieved,if u r mad about the bradford loss,then,u r a joker,for nothing surpasses us lossing to birmingham in CC finals,a team that was eventually relegated with our blessings.fact,AW lacks all attributes of a world class manager-ambition,winning mentality,tactically astute,using players on their strengths n performance merit.he lacks all these qualities n needs to go!
When it was tym 2 give vanpersie,song,flamini n ordas new deal it neva happen, nw its tym 4 d fringe players like ramsey,jenkinson n even diaby d wil b given with ease..wallcot has demanded an increase he has bin ignored..pls pls pls mr.wenger shld b sacked.GUADIOLA is hu we nid rite nw.
