After drubbing Coventry 6-1 at The Emirates in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night, Arsenal must now turn their attention to London rivals and European champions Chelsea tomorrow afternoon.
We are still unbeaten in the Premier League after bagging a priceless point against Manchester City last weekend, and it looks like we can mount a serious title challenge this season, if of course we continue to perform and lady luck smiles upon us.
The potential return of Thomas Vermaelen will undoubtedly be a massive boost, not to mention resting some of our key players in the Capital One Cup.
It’s unquestionably a massive fixture for both clubs and a win for us will surely make the likes of Manchester United and City stand up and take notice of us, as well as the British media who don’t like to see us do well.
So with this in mind, what should our starting line-up look like?
Well, here is how I think Arsene Wenger should play it tomorrow afternoon:
Mannone
Jenkinson Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs
Arteta Ramsey
Cazorla
Walcott Chamberlain
Podolski
If Vermaelen is available then he has to comeback straight into the line-up. Unfortunately, Laurent Koscielny will have to be placed on the bench if the Belgian is able to play, as Per Mertesacker has been very impressive.
Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla keep their places, but I think Aaron Ramsey deserves to start following his tenacious display against City.
Upfront I would like to see Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski. Their pace and power would cause the ageing Chelsea defence a lot of problems, while all three can easily switch positions with each other.
In addition, I think its time for Walcott to step up and show us, as well as Wenger, what he can do in the centre-forward role (I know, I know, I put him on the wing, but he is bound to get some time up there).
So, who do you guys reckon should start for us tomorrow afternoon against London rivals Chelsea?

I’m with Adam on this.
Though there are multiple options that look good.
Also good is we have people of the quality of Koscielny and Diaby on the bench…amazing…With Wilshire, Rosicky and Sagna also soon back.
Big game indeed tomorrow.

I this line-up, but I don’t know why people want to drop Mertz, he’s clearly been our best defender so far. What else does he have to do???
I agree he has been cracking but koscielny for me is the best all round of the three. I would even consider dropping vermaelen if i didn’t like his controlling of the line so much. I think rotation will have to come into play this season and i would prefer mertesacker to play against the teams that play more old fashioned lone ups but kos for the others. I would be happy if any of them were in place of the other which is a nice problem.
I think a more controlling side rather than pacey. Ivanovic and cole do well against the pacey ones but have struggled more against good passing movement.
