Real Madrid rookie set to snub Gunners for Eagles

Real Madrid starlet Jese Rodriguez Ruiz is set to sensationally snub Arsenal in favour of – wait for it – a move to Benfica this summer, according to reports in Portugal.

The La Liga leaders want Ruiz to remain at the club, but guaranteeing him first-team football doesn’t look likely, leaving the young Spaniard, who is reportedly being tracked by the Gunners, considering his options in the upcoming transfer window.

However, Portuguese newspaper Record claims Benfica have already won the race to sign Ruiz, who is out of contract in the summer, and will only have to pay a compensation fee to acquire his services. It is also suggested that the proposed deal could be completed by the end of the week.

Now if this rumour turns out to be accurate, which I’m pretty confident it will be, then clearly the 19-year-old lacks ambition and is, in my opinion, making a huge mistake.

Think about it, if Benfica or Arsenal were after you, who would you sign for?

Ok, he may get more first-team opportunities at the Portuguese club in the long run, and they are a club that boasts history, but our club are known for nurturing young talent and producing them into world class stars. And with the young Spanish winger already being compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, due to his style of play and dribbling technique, could you imagine how good he could turn out to be with the top facilities of Arsenal and under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger

Oh well you can’t win them all and we move on.

If i was 19 years old a contract with benfica and probably guaranteed regular football including champions league would suit me fine for 3 or 4 years.
