Why this AC Milan defender is right to be worried about Henry threat

AC Milan centre-back Thiago Silva is more wary of Thierry Henry than Robin van Persie, as the two sides meet tomorrow night at the San Siro in the first of their two-legged Champions league tie.

However, despite Van Persie’s scintillating form and goal-scoring record this season for Arsenal, it’s the on-loan Frenchman, who has scored three goals in six appearances for the Gunners in just over two hours of play, that Silva is more worried about:

‘He’s a player who’s had a great history not just with Arsenal but also with France.

‘We must be careful because in every game where he comes on he does well.

‘If you give him a little space he will certainly score, he has incomparable quality.’

But the Brazilian international went on to acknowledge that it’s not just about Van Perise and Henry, as he believes that the north London club are not a one-man team like the British media claim:

‘They’ve got a great team and great players but it’s not just about Van Persie.

‘If you talk about just one player today then maybe tomorrow it will be another one (who’s grabbed the headlines), we have to be careful about everyone.’

In my opinion, and I’m just saying this because I am a Gooner, but the Brazilian international couldn’t be more accurate about Henry and out team in general.

Although the legendary French striker is now 34 and doesn’t posses the same pace he once had, he shouldn’t be taken lightly by the Serie A side (though I hope they do) – just ask Leeds and Sunderland.

Sure RVP has been grabbing all the headlines, but fans and pundits alike should take a real hard look and actually analyze what the other 10 Arsenal players do on the pitch, instead of easily labelling us as a one-man side just because the Dutch striker gets our goals.

In any case, I’m glad Silva has seen the light and recognized Henry’s threat!

Hopefully he can do an Italian job tomorrow night!

Here’s hoping!
