The shock answer to Arsenal’s full-back problem?

Another name has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, and believe me this one can certainly be labelled as ‘shocking’ – Swansea City’s Neil Taylor.

The Welsh left-back has been in impressive form for Swansea so far this season and has proved a key figure in their defensive record.

Taylor, who has been capped 8 times for Wales, moved to The Liberty Stadium from Wrexham in 2010 and is now believed to be on Arsene Wenger’s radar, as the Frenchman looks to add some defensive reinforcements to his squad.

At 22, Taylor may not be the most ‘recognised defender’ Arsenal fans would like to see come in. However, I think the Welshman would actually be a good and astute signing for the club. He is likely to cost in the region of £8 million and Arsene Wenger will certainly be able to work his magic on him.

Arsenal have been a number of injuries at the moment in defensive positions with Bacary Sagna, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Andre Santos and Thomas Vermaelen all sidelined. Johan Djourou is also set to miss the FA Cup tie against Leeds due to his one match suspension following his red card against Fulham on Monday.

I am sure this is not the last we’ve heard about our club being linked with a defender, but I personally think Neil Taylor could become a very good player for the club, especially under the tutelage of Mr. Wenger.

What do you guys reckon? Would this be a good signing for Arsenal?
