Marseille’s Nicolas N’Koulou will not be joining Arsenal in January, as the defender is happy with life in France, according to his agent
The 21-year-old Cameroon international has been linked with a move away from Marseille and has been flattered by the interest shown from The Gunners. However, N’Koulou representative, Maxime Nana, had this to say about a possible move away from the Ligue 1 club this January:
‘Nicolas is fine at Marseille at the moment. He is keen to experience a lot of success at Marseille.
‘As long as he has the trust of the coach [Didier Deschamps] and the club, there is no reason to look elsewhere.’
With Arsenal still looking to sign a defender it appears, for at least the time being, N’Koulou will be staying where he is. Despite this recent revelation, I remain confident Arsene Wenger has a backup plan, so in all honesty I can’t see this being a huge issue for the club.
