Reported Arsenal target Lukas Podolski should be plying his trade at a top European club, according to Germany boss Joachim Low.
Podolski has been in fine form this season for FC Koln, scoring on 10 occasions in 13 appearances for both club and country.
Arsene Wenger is reported to have identified the 26-year-old German as a potential January acquisition, as he looks to add more quality to his squad.
Podolski is currently on international duty and faces increasing speculation surrounding his future amid the alleged interest of Arsenal.
When questioned about a proposed move for Podolski to the Emirates Stadium, Low only backed the talents of the player:
‘I cannot decide for him, this is a choice he must make with his family.
‘But I do think that Lukas’ level is of a top European club.’
In my opinion, Podolski to Arsenal this winter would be fantastic. He’s a brilliant striker, what more is there else to say? He’s the kind of player we can look to when Robin van Persie has been rested, as the German international is also very good in front of goal, Podolski loves to blast a few from long range, which I think we could all agree on we would like to see a lot more of at Arsenal.
It is still unclear as to whether Wenger will make a move for him this January, I for one hope he does.

I have watched alot of fc køln matches this year, and Podolski i deffinitly a player who would fit Arsenal. He is a player much like Dzeco, good thecnic, blasts the ball at goal whenever he gets the chance and is also very good at freekicks. he was the Captain at Fc Køln last year but lost the captaincy becouse of arival of new coach. Fc Køln have been absolutt dependent on him this season much like Van Persie at Arsenal. He would be a massive and very good signing! But i dont think he would come cheap.
Would be great signing, maybe not crazy money as his contract is running down.
