Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Arsenal target Kevin Großkreutz recently admitted that he would welcome a big-money move to The Emirates, according to The Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder/winger, who was being monitored by Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley against Olympiakos over a week ago, is under contract with the Bundesliga side until 2014.

However, his agent Konstantin Liolios has made it clear to Großkreutz that Arsene Wenger has expressed an interest in his services, which left the German international recently stating:

‘If I do ever leave Dortmund, I would like to go to the Premier League in England, and my favourite club there is Arsenal.’

Although I don’t believe we are in desperate need of adding another winger to our squad, Großkreutz does look a good player – from what I’ve seen of him of course. He is strong, quick, can use both feet and has the ability to get past defenders. I for one would welcome him at The Emirates, if a move occurs.

However, we are yet to see any real development in what can only be constituted as a rumour at this time. But surely there will be some form of movement following Großkreutz’s latest words.

Talking of movement, Arsenal needs to off load a bunch of under perfoming players to bring in fresh and quality talent. Kevin is good but wenger has to let go of Asharvin, Denilson, Bentdner, Chamack,Squillach, Vella,Lansbury and Hoyte.

Groesskrutz isn’t really an attacking midfielder or winger. I mean yes he’s scored quite a bit of goals and assists for a midfielder so I can see hw you might get that impression but he’s really a box to box midfielder. He’s very much like Essien. He runs……ALOT…..can pass, dribble, tackle, composed in the box when the opportunity presents itself.

He had a rough start but Klopp developed him into a very good central midfielder and he would give Song a run for his money.

hello fred, i think vela and lansbury has a talent. vela had a good form in world cup later. and lansbury too. he had a good form in england national team U21. maybe wenger must give him a chances. they only have a little chance in arsenal. just my opinion. 🙂

Good work guys! All I want as a fan is that we go for players that are good and are ready/willing to play for us.Look at the immediate impact of Gervinho for instance! We need such willing and committed players to move on.Up Gunners! For life!
