Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has urged Arsene Wenger to offer Gunners legend Thierry Henry a loan deal at the Emirates.
Keown believes that too much emphasis is on star striker Robin van Persie to provide the goals and signing Henry, who is currently with MLS side New York Red Bulls, on a short-term measure could help Arsenal:
‘Perhaps we [Arsenal] need a centre forward.
‘Henry is now training with the team and it’d be nice if he came in on a loan period, but that would only be a short term solution.’
Van Persie’s fantastic form for Arsenal in 2011 has seen him net 31 goals in 29 Premier League games.

It can be a good thing to see Thierry Henry again in Emirates
With due respect to Martin Keown, IMO he is living in cloud cuckoo land. I well recall Henry’s last season at the Emirates (when he was much younger). He had reached the zenith of his powers for our Club and the time had come for him to depart. Nothing has changed since then except the inevitable widening gap between his performance and that required in the EPL.
Sign him as a coach?….that’s quite another story
and one that could easily be pursued.
pls mr Wenger, sign him now to reliev Rvp. December is approachin wen we’ll play more games.
