Arsenal target Marvin Martin could yet make a move to the Premier League in the near future, despite signing a new deal with FC Sochaux this summer.

The France international was on Arsene Wenger’s radar this summer and even made a bid for the 23-year-old, as the Frenchman tried to replace Nasri and Fabregas. However, the deal fell through when Martin signed a contract extension with the French club, keeping him in the Ligue 1 until 2015.

Yet, the midfielder has recently revealed that there is a clause in his contract which would allow him to make a move next summer, opening the door for Arsenal to renew their interest in the player.

Martin told L’Equipe:

‘We had good talk and we found an agreement.’

‘The officials made a promise. Indeed, an agreement to let me leave. I will remain at Sochaux until the end of the season.’

Undoubtedly, this is great news for the club, AW and the fans who would like to see Marvin Martin in the red and white of Arsenal. Indeed, the Frenchman would make a great addition to the squad, as he has the qualities and attributes of a typical Arsenal player.

However, only time will tell if Martin makes a move to the Emirates or in fact Arsenal are still interested in the creative midfielder.

Be real, once he signed a new contract his price would have rose to a huge figure, which is much unlikely for Arsene to buy. Dumb move from Marvin Martin but worthy to be called loyal.
