Wolfsburg eye up Rosicky

Tomas Rosicky is reportedly wanted by Bundersliga outfit Wolfsburg, according to talkSPORT.

It has emerged today that the 30-year-old Czech international is being targeted by the German outfit as a replacement for the departing Diego.

Rosicky spent five years with Dortmund before joining Arsenal for £10 million back in 2006, but has since struggled with injuries.

In all honestly, I do not see this deal going through.

Arsenal are already struggling with midfield options with the recent departures of Samir *grab the cash* Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. We have also seen Denilson go out on loan to Sao Paulo and Jack Wilshere is thought to be out for at least another 2 weeks, so losing another midfielder would be insane.

We are all aware that Arsenal need to go and spend some money in the next 6 days. However, if we were to lose Rosicky as well, then that would effectively be 3 midfielders we would need to replace, which I truly cannot see happening.

Rosicky came on in the second half of last night’s clash with Udinese and, in my opinion, Arsenal’s performance improved by about 70%. This is in no way a criticism towards Frimpong, who I believe is going to be a fantastic Arsenal player in the future, it is merely an observation of what happened and can happen if we keep the Czech midfielder fit and on our books this season.

His experience could prove vital as the season rolls on.

Gunnersphere is on point. I remember you saying that Rosicky could be an important asset this season and it wasnt barely a week and he proved it. I think his experience brings calm to young players. He may not be that sharp but for the moment he is the only creative midfielder we have. infact his sliding tackles should be taught to the midfielders. the tackles buy our other players time to recover. He is a good influence i think.
