2 Premier League games down, 2 red cards shown, 2 goals conceded and no goals scored, where have Arsenal gone?

Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to yet another disappointing result today, after being beaten by a hardworking Liverpool side 2-0 at the Emirates.

Despite Emmanuel Frimpong’s sending off, the Gunners really struggled to match Liverpool and, to be honest, never looked threatening going forward.

Before Liverpool were gifted a very fortunate first goal, which bounced of Aaron Ramsey’s chest over a helpless Wojciech Szczesny from a Ignasi Miquel clearance in the six-yard box, nothing really happened – it wasn’t the greatest of encounters by any means.

With Arsenal looking disheartened after the first goal, the Merseyside outfit effectively put the contest to bed when Luis Suarez rounded off a nice team move in the final minutes of the game, which leaves Wenger with more woes.

It’s not been a great start to the new season for Arsenal and undoubtedly many fans will be calling for Wenger to spend some money following another less than impressive team performance and result.

With this being said, I ask – what five things did we learn from Arsenal this afternoon?

    1. Frimpong is a beast. He’s got lots to learn but, and I know people will hate me for saying this, he has massive potential. We’ve not had a player like him for a long long time.
    2. Ramsey isn’t ready to hold the team together. He’s good, but we need another player in that position.
    3. We need to keep Nasri.
    4. We need some new players. Defender, midfield and maybe even a striker. Now.
    5. It’s not the end of the world. The big game is midweek. We might find ourselves with 1 point after the manure match. That wouldn’t be the end of the world either. Despite what you might read in the press. But we need to play in the champions league. Not getting there would be a disaster.

people calm down we lost against a good team who have spent 60 million on players and we had 8 players injured and 2 suspended so tell me whats the shame in that?? We showed promise and players stepped-up like Frimpong and Miquel,Yes some of our players didnt preform as good but they lacked a creating midfielder like Fabregas and some were out of position and had to help out after the red card. So give Wenger some slack and help him through good, bad and desprate times

I wonder if some of these people calling for Wenger’s head were Arsenal fans before Wenger?

1 Bring back Dein to negotiate transfers
2 Bring back Gary Lewin to sort out injuries
3 Frim has a big future
4 We haven’t got a DCM to play against Brand United

    1. Which position do we need to sign if to?
    2. We need deliverance from enemies, injuries and F A
    3. Wenger must play tw 14 as striker. Buy dann and verthogean
    4. Arshavin, walcott does not merit starting eleven. Ryo and oxlade could have been better and 23&14 as super sub
    5. Wzczesny, vermealen, carl and koscelny are world class. Thumb up to them
