Lille striker Moussa Sow wants to follow in former strike partner Gervinho’s footsteps and sign for Arsenal.

The 25-year-old Senegalese forward, who topped the goal scoring chart in Ligue 1 last season with 25 goals, wants to play for Arsenal and is hoping to attract the attentions of the north London club before the summer deadline day.

Sow said:

‘I want to play at Arsenal. I think my game is best suited to the Premier League.’

‘It is my dream and I want to be playing Champions League football.’

‘Real Madrid? They are one of the best teams in the world.’

‘We will see what can happen with these clubs before the transfer windows ends.’

The 5’11’’ striker is thought to be valued at around £11 million, but do Arsenal really need another forward on our books? In my opinion, I think we do.

While we have Chamakh in reserve, should RVP pick up a knock, I don’t think the Moroccan can be relied on – just my opinion of course.

If we do sell Bendtner and Vela goes out on loan, then we will need to sign another striker. However, this will depend on whether Wenger utilizes Theo as a striker this season, which I personally don’t think he will.

Sow looks a good option for Wenger to think about, if the Frenchman indeed wants to purchase another forward.

Sow possesses good skill, a piercing eye for goal, is strong on the ball and best of all, he wouldn’t cost much.
