According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal have opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for attacking midfielder Jadson.
Jadson, who made 38 appearances for the Ukrainian outfit last season, is apparently being lined up as a possible replacement for Barca-bound Cesc Fabregas and was reportedly in London yesterday for talks.
Although Arsene Wenger has expressed an interest in Valencia’s Juan Mata, who appears to be the fans ideal replacement for their captain, Jadson would be the cheaper option this summer.
Though Jadson’s contract does not expire until December 2014, it is thought that an offer between €8-10 million could see the Ukrainian side part ways with the 27-year-old.
The Brazilian international is known for his technical ability, skill and creativity.
