Will our patience finally be rewarded by Wenger this season?

As they say, only time will tell, and indeed us (the patient Arsenal fans) will soon find out the destiny of our club.

Apparently, a lot of people believe that this is Arsene Wenger’s make or break season at Arsenal, but the defiant French boss remains optimistic that he and the club can pull through this ‘tough’ time. Whether you believe this is in fact Wenger’s final chance at the helm is up for you to decide.

Although Wenger understands our growing impatience, the Frenchman believes that all the waiting will be rewarded soon enough.

The Frenchman has recently revealed that he will fight tooth and nail to keep both Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri at Arsenal this summer, and will also add some much needed quality before the new season begins in mid August.

This will surely be good news to every Arsenal fan out there, if, and only if, Wenger can accomplish what he has stated.

Now, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all believed to be eyeing up Nasri, who is yet to agree a new deal at the Emirates, Wenger’s mission in keeping the French star at Arsenal will be a very tough one indeed. Of course, only time will tell what will happen with Nasri and Barca bound Fabregas, but we must believe that Wenger can keep both at the club.

As Arsenal fans, we have waited for so long to see our club recapture the glory days, but the real question is – Will Wenger manage to prove our many critics like Paul Scholes wrong this season?

On our growing impatience, Wenger said:

‘I can understand (the impatience among the fans), believe me, I know all the clubs in the world and everybody needs the same players for the same position. If there were an obvious option, I for one would have made my decision already. We are at the top level and therefore need exceptional quality to strengthen our side. Let’s hope we can bring in more additions of absolutely top quality.’

Having read his comments, I ask – do you believe that Wenger will in fact strengthen the squad with pure quality, or will it just be the same old story this summer?

I think this time around is going to be different, because I truly believe that Wenger is feeling the pressure more than ever.

Arsenal have had a 13m bid rejected for simon kjaer (wolfsburg) rejected heads up arsenal fans.

  • Wenger can not be sack by arsenal, he can only quit. He knows the best for the club, so trust him

  • Mike says:

Infact it was dissapointing to see arsenal 4 up b4 halftime only to have the score neutralised thereafter, i think this is mainly the inconsistency of the players we had and therefore let Wenger off the hook on that but really hoping he wil revitalise the strength of the team nw that he has the chance!

  • Eunice says:

Nw that the boss owns shares at the club, its only fare nt to have him sacked, if failure at the club continues though a lot of lobbying must be done to have him ousted!
