Arsene Wenger is reportedly preparing a £5 million bid for young French winger Antoine Griezmann.
The 20-year-old, who currently plays for La Liga outfit Real Sociedad, has been targeted by the Arsenal chief following a string of impressive scout reports.
Griezmann has been with the Spanish club since the age of 15 honing his skills and working his way up the ranks. It was only two years ago that the Frenchman managed to break into the first-team set up.
The France Under-21 international, who is primarily a left winger by trade but can also be deployed as a striker, is known for his technical ability, dribbling and quick acceleration.
Despite signing a new five-year deal last season which includes a €30 million release clause, it is believed that Sociedad would consider letting the French youth star depart if healthy offers are tabled this summer.
Griezmann managed to bag 7 goals and 1 assist in 37 appearances for Real Sociedad last season.
If reports are accurate, and Wenger is in fact contemplating a move for Griezmann this summer, then I don’t believe £5 million would be enough to acquire him. Maybe £8 million would seal the deal.

arsene, go take your pounds and put them into your ass, antoine will stay in Real Sociedad for a long time! well, he has a 30m € release clause, so if you pay that much, maybe (and just maybe) we’ll let him go!
Wenger is a lost cause and should leave for France. He is a cheap, overrated,and very average coach. Has won nothing in six years!
I rather we got the mid fielder who was making all the passes but he is ok defenders looked a bit lazy though to be honest we need to wait and see what wenger dose we have loads of talent in arsenal so we needn’t worry next season we will be fine maybe with fab gone we won’t choke and win the league and champions league
Griezmann is overrated, light weighted, he never tackles, he never tracks back, he’s not physical enough for Premiership football.
What Wenger needs to do is a cheeky offer for Sociedad’s true jewel Gorka Elustondo. 6 M quid for him would be robbery, he’s got the composture, the long passing, never gets caught out of position, he’s the new Xabi Alonso.

I have to agree with Sabre. Not Griezzmann. Elustondo is the only real good player in Sociedad. My brother is living in Spain and has watched quite a few matches of Sociedad last year. Average team, but, probably Elustondo will be the next star in Spanish national team. Forget Cesc or Griezzman. Elustondo is the future. I think we could get him for just 3-4 M.
Elustondo is a big player, basque friends tell me. Liverpool was very interested last year. Arsene, no mistake again.
What is your major malfunction, arsene? Didn’t Mommy and Daddy show you enough attention when you were a child?
