The Mayor of Fabregas’ home town has recently compared the Spaniard’s plight to ‘kidnapping’ and believes the north London club should allow the creative midfielder to return back to Barcelona.
The 24-year-old, who left his boyhood club at the age of 16 in 2003, has made no secret of his wish to one day return back to Barca, but has never publicly handed in a transfer request at Arsenal.
Estanislau Fors i Garcia, the mayor of Catalan town Arenys de Mar where Fabregas grew up, recently expressed his views on the matter and slammed Arsenal’s behaviour as being dishonourable towards Cesc.
Garcia told Barcelona-based Daily Sport:
‘We want him to come right away, he is experiencing a kidnapping.’
He added:
‘If the English are so honourable they should behave properly.’
‘He [Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger] has to stop clowning around because it’s disorienting for all of us.’
Barcelona have failed to land Fabregas last summer, and look set to lose out again on the midfielder after already having two bids rejected by Arsenal.
All I can do is laugh at this clown for stating such stupid comments.
We ‘should behave properly’ over this matter – what and your ongoing mission to try to unsettle and tap up Fabregas over the past 2 years is honourable behaviour is it Mr. Garcia?
He is experiencing kidnapping and Wenger should stop clowning around over this transfer? No, maybe Barcelona should stop disrespecting and insulting our club with their ridiculous offers for one of our prized assets.

does cesc really believe he can hold down a first team spot at barca,when ,lets be realistic, he is not the player he was, he got nasri and wilshere performing better in his position at the club.

What the hell are you on about. Sounds like you didnt watch a match all season. All the pivotal points that defined our season are clear to see. What was the % of games won with Cesc not playing? Cesc has done a sh@t load for us.
if barca had gone about this like decent human beings and paid the amount that cesc is worth or the 40mill we now want for him, maybe, just maybe arsenal would have reluctently sold cesc. but their whole attitude in this saga has been unexcusable, dont they realise that the more they demand, the more arsene is going to dig his heals in about cesc, so come on barca keep up with the attitude, hopefully you will never get our captain.

the barcelona is going about this fabragas saga is not right. I think they should be more sensible enough to kwon how to approach a matter of nature. Anyway if they can’t pay his valuation price, they should step aside and allow a club that value him pay for his services
it’s 4o million pounds or no deal… these people are stupid…They are the ones who have been so irresponsible because a responsible club would have paid the asking price and take the guy home..
