Should Arsenal pursue this Slovakian playmaker if Cesc leaves?

Though Barcelona have been absolutely disrespectful in their chase of our captain, Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to be interested in reporting them to FIFA. Why?

Those snivelling cry babies don’t have the means to pay for Fabregas’ services and are using unethical means to sign a player. Whilst we are just trying to be the good, lovable boys of football, and this is encouraging Barcelona to further advertise their claims that Fabs is suffering in north London. Is this how champions behave? Disgusting. Sorry, I better get into the topic before I start blasting Barcelona with all the swear words I can find.

I still believe that Wenger will somehow make Fabregas stay with us this year, but I am also hoping that the club have lined up a suitable replacement just in case we do lose Fabregas.

I don’t think anyone will be able to fill his boots completely, but there have been a few names mentioned already.

Samir Nasri is the obvious one, but the French star is being lured by the big wage packets of the Etihad stadium. My personal choice would be Aaron Ramsey. He is our guy, an Arsenal boy through and through. However, the most recent name to be mentioned is Napoli’s playmaker Marek Hamsik.

The Slovakian international is also a reported target for A.C. Milan, but if Fabregas leaves Arsenal, then a move to the Emirates for the Napoli man would be an attractive proposition for the attacking midfielder.

Arsenal regularly play in the later stages of the Champions League, and with a starting spot pretty much assured, Arsenal will be too good an offer for Hamsik to turn down.

But will he be able to fit into our team? Is he really the right man to replace our skipper?

He’s got talent, alright.

Regarded as one of Europe’s hottest properties, the 23-year-old is a fantastic playmaker and his best asset is his technique. He has an excellent range of passing and possesses good speed too. He regularly splits open the defence with great through balls and holds the ball up well.

I believe we should go for hamsik cos he got everything we (Arsenal) need to replace our captain cesc. But if we can not get him, we should consider move for marko marin or heden harzard

….and who will come in to the side when Wilshere or Ramsey can’t play? If Fabregas or Nasri leaves they have to be replaced with top quality

finally…now…it is just rumor at this point, but in my belief, this is the only replacement worthy of pursuit should Fab &/or Nasri go. i was curious that we had yet to be linked with him, but now it’s a waiting game.

personally, it’s starting to sound to me like Ribery will be bought if Mata cannot. & Hamsik may be bought if Fab/Nasri leave.

i would love to see us then add Lukaku (perfect #2 behind RvP…especially as injury insurance) & Vidal. this, provided Bendtner leaves along with Arshavin.

that should make enough weight to make all these deals & then the only business left is adding the Center-Half steel we lack (preferably Cahill…but i can easily seeing us go for Per or Subotic or something much less the over-priced Cahill).

i’m still really dubious as to half of this potential getting done, as this is not typical spending…but it is also (potentially) a non-typical exodus we are about to experience. these players named all make sense though & are relatively affordable.

i wonder….does the Joel Campbell u-turn suggest Lukaku may be arriving at Arsenal? i mean…that’s a tough competition to get involved in, especially with JET sitting not too far behind.
