It has been reported today that Turkish giants Galatasaray are preparing a £13.5 million offer for out-of-form Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin.

With the Gunners looking to seal a reported £10.5 million deal for Lille striker Gervinho in the next few days, it is believed that Arshavin could be on his way out of the Emirates to make way for new arrivals this summer.

The 30-year-old Russian, whose current contract runs out next year, has been heavily linked with a return back to Zenit St. Petersburg in the past, but it seems Galatasaray will make the first formal move for Arshavin in the upcoming weeks.

£13.5 million for a 30-year-old, who, let’s face it, performed pretty poorly last season, is definitely a deal worth considering this summer.

I am a huge fan of Arshavin and the qualities that he possesses, but it seems his time at Arsenal has finally run out. And with only a year left on his existing contract, perhaps the smartest thing for Wenger to do (if of course he doesn’t want to keep him on the Emirates books) is to sell him now rather than risk losing him on a free next summer.

Would you sell Andrey for £13.5 million?
