Samir Nasri’s best mate, Patrice Evra, has told the Arsenal midfielder that he must choose Manchester United over Manchester City, if he wants to win trophies, according to several reports.
Nasri, who netted 15 goals for the Gunners last season, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer after refusing to pen down a new deal, and it seems City are leading the race for his signature after Roberto Mancini publicly stated his desire to acquire the 24-year-old this summer.
However, Evra has told his French international team-mate that a move to Old Trafford is the more logical one.
The United full-back said:
‘I remember I made a little joke saying that he’s a prince now but if he wants to be the king then he has to join Man United.’
‘But that’s the reality – and I’ve told him that. I’ve said, ‘If you want to win trophies, you have to come here.’
‘In five years, I’ve won 12 trophies and I don’t know if I’d have won more than that with another club. So I just told him the truth.’
‘If he goes to City, it’s his choice but I know, as a player, if I have Manchester United and Manchester City, I’d go straight away for United.’
I think Evra just likes to wind us up by voicing his unwanted opinion on a matter that doesn’t concern him.
Just concentrate on your United career and stop worrying about one of our player’s future…that’s our job – you’re not Nasri, you’re not his agent, you’re not his dad, so just keep it zipped mate.

Regardless of whether or not they are best friends, Evra seems to be involved in this Nasri saga a lot. They are friends, but Patrice needs to stop with these comments, borderline tapping up right here
