City want to sign Arsenal youngster Henri Lansbury on a permanent basis this summer, according to several reports.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been with the since 1999 after joining from the Canaries youth setup as an 9-year-old, but has struggled to breakthrough at the Emirates.

Lansbury, who has made just 6 appearances for Arsenal, was loaned out to in the second half of last season and played a big part in helping the club clinch promotion back to the Premier League, by bagging 4 goals and 5 assists in 23 appearances.

It is believed that wants to bring the Under-21 international back to on a permanent basis this summer, and is hoping to persuade Arsene to sell the youngster for around £2 million.

Lansbury wants to stay at Arsenal and has made it clear that he wants to emulate Jack Wilshere. However, the young midfielder could be loaned out once again, even if he does sign a new deal at the Emirates.
