Why this French midfielder should never wear the Arsenal shirt again

So I read in the Daily Mail, and several other newspapers today, that Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby owns and occasionally wears a Spurs shirt around his house…really?

The 25-year-old was given the arch-enemies shirt by French compatriot Younes Kaboul. However, Diaby insisted that he would never wear the top in public, as it would be unsafe to do so…too right mate!

Diaby told the press:

‘It is more difficult to wear it in the street – there you are not safe.’

Is this guy stupid or something? Does he suffer from idiotic tendencies? Seriously, what is going through his head – does he even know that he is an Arsenal player?

As you can probably tell, I am not a fan of the guy anyway, and having read that he owns a Spurs shirt (which he WEARS) has only made me dislike even him more.

How disrespectful to Arsenal FC – The club who have put him on the map and developed him into…an adequate player (sorry guys but that’s what he is, at best)

It doesn’t stop there though. Talking about his friendship with Kaboul, Diaby also added:

‘It would be good to play for the same club one day.’

Well, if it were up to me Abou you’d be out of the North London club in a flash, but for some reason Arsene Wenger reckons you could one day emulate the great Patrick Vieira…hahaha!!!

The French midfielder isn’t exactly a fan favourite at the Emirates, due to his low-par performances and niggling injuries this season, so for many Gooners to hear that he models the Spurs shirt will do very little to improve his popularity amongst the Arsenal faithful.

In my opinion, this guy should never wear the Arsenal shirt again.

Wenger get rid of this clown ASAP!

Just proves what I’ve suspected since he gifted Newcastle with a point after picking an infantile red card. The man is cracked! Total liability.

Time to clear this up me thinks. The original quotes were in French and have been (as usual) badly translated. Kaboul and Diaby are best friends and Kaboul have him a Spurs shirt. Although he still owns it, it was a joke about wearing. He doesn’t actually wear it, but that was lost in translation. You can decide whether that’s acceptable or not, just thought I’d clear it up.

Who cares! Let him wear whatever shirt he wants, joke or no joke. There are more real/concrete important things to worry about than the clothing choice of one of our players. Why are you idiots stuck on a symbol that has no more meaning than what you give it!

there is nothing wrong with him wearing the spurs shirt . afterall greedy bayor did same when he went to an interview spotting an arsenal jersey while on the books of man shitty … the only problem i see is if he begging for a transfer to spurs that where u can now indict him .. do u think rooney doesnt wear his evertonian jersey at times ? hes an evertonian down to his roots so this story is a non -issue IMHO !!

It’s not the shirt, it’s the player. Like so many current players, he’s just not Arsenal quality. He’s got a bit of techniques, but if you don’t know what you’re doing out there, you shouldn’t be out there. As for translation effects, he’s had enough interview experience to know these things, the fact that he may still not understand this is perhaps most troubling.

Feckin clown and injury-prone average at best. Hope he goes with Nasri and Clichy and we buy players that are proud to be Arsenal players and not mercenerys…wankers the lot of them.
