So I read in the Daily Mail, and several other newspapers today, that Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby owns and occasionally wears a Spurs shirt around his house…really?
The 25-year-old was given the arch-enemies shirt by French compatriot Younes Kaboul. However, Diaby insisted that he would never wear the top in public, as it would be unsafe to do so…too right mate!
Diaby told the press:
‘It is more difficult to wear it in the street – there you are not safe.’
Is this guy stupid or something? Does he suffer from idiotic tendencies? Seriously, what is going through his head – does he even know that he is an Arsenal player?
As you can probably tell, I am not a fan of the guy anyway, and having read that he owns a Spurs shirt (which he WEARS) has only made me dislike even him more.
How disrespectful to Arsenal FC – The club who have put him on the map and developed him into…an adequate player (sorry guys but that’s what he is, at best)
It doesn’t stop there though. Talking about his friendship with Kaboul, Diaby also added:
‘It would be good to play for the same club one day.’
Well, if it were up to me Abou you’d be out of the North London club in a flash, but for some reason Arsene Wenger reckons you could one day emulate the great Patrick Vieira…hahaha!!!
The French midfielder isn’t exactly a fan favourite at the Emirates, due to his low-par performances and niggling injuries this season, so for many Gooners to hear that he models the Spurs shirt will do very little to improve his popularity amongst the Arsenal faithful.
In my opinion, this guy should never wear the Arsenal shirt again.
Wenger get rid of this clown ASAP!

I will for once agree with the reactionaries!! this was a masterstroke of pure idiocy, or maybe a genius idea from his agent to force wenger to sell him. He has got amazing technique but really that is it. he hasnt adapted to the prem, he is qiute weak for a big guy. he is neither an attacking nor defensive player, cant remember him making a tackle, did feel sorry for him against newcastle and if it wasnt for this epic faux pas i wouldve given him anothere season as a squad player. but if what he said is 100% true, GET RID
And what about Nasri ?,IMHO he also shouldn’t wear an Arsenal shirt after he spoke about a move to Manure
Diaby has angered me more than Denilson and Bendtner. Simply the example of disgrace of Arsenal FC and fans around the world.

Here is my honest assessment on the player – he is crap!
It’s not so much that he owns a Spurs shirt, it’s the fact that he parades around init and is proud of it…it’s like working for Mc Donalds then parading around in a Burger King outfit…bit disrespectful to your employers init (sorry for the crap comparison, but you get my point).
I don’t rate this guy at all…don’t think he is Arsenal material in my opinion and want him out of the club ASAP!
Agree Nicky 100% Plus to want such a young French INTERNATIONAL out is barmy. I have seen some epic performances from Abou this season, and at such a young age the sickening grief he gets from fans @ The Emirates… fair play to him for sticking around.
Venky, I think he is just trying to pressure Arsenal into giving him a bit more $$$ a week and buy a few players.
Pooh like this can only come from players managed by Wenger. I can’t imagine a Manchester United player saying to the media that ‘he has a Manchester City jersey that he uses indoors alone’. We don’t only need to get rid of Diaby, we need to punish him first and then sell him.
