Why this Arsenal starlet should consider another loan spell at Feyenoord

|

Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has revealed that he would love to have the Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi at Feyenoord again next season.

The 18-year-old was being tracked by several of Europe’s top clubs in January, before deciding to join Arsenal. The Gunners then loaned him out to Feyenoord so that he could gain some much needed European experience.

Miyaichi, who scored 3 goals in 12 games for the Dutch side, set the Eredivisie alight with his silky skills and tricks, earning him the nickname “Ryodinho” after the great Brazilian Ronaldinho.

Van Geel is hopeful that Arsenal will allow Miyaichi to return to Feyenoord for another season, but Wenger is said to be keen to keep the youngster at the Emirates this summer. Van Geel told Vegetal International:

‘We would love to have him here on loan for a year. Arsenal know we are good for him. Now we can only wait for their answer.’

I think that Arsenal should allow Miyaichi to go back to Feyenoord, he could use the first team experience. Plus, he would probably spend more time on the Arsenal bench than actually playing in the first-team next season, whereas at Feyenoord, he is likely to start week in week out.

Miyaichi seemed to fit in well at the Dutch outfit, so I think that he should be given one more year over there, if of course he is not in Arsene Wenger’s plans next season.

I think he should be loaned out again, the fact is only 18 and he won’t play regular football for Arsenal. If Feyenoord offer regular football then why not. He will develop as a player and be even better the next season.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t want to see him at Arsenal because I have heard good things, but I don’t him playing regular football at Arsenal, and he needs regualr football to really develop his football.
