‘What is this? A parting gift?’

It appears that Cesc Fabregas’ decision to leave Arsenal may have been made before the season had even concluded.

Andrey Arshavin recently told the press that Cesc Fabregas gave all his team-mates an end of season gift. When he was given his one, the Russian forward apparently asked the 24-year-old Spaniard:

‘What is this? A parting gift?’

Fabregas didn’t say anything, leaving Arshavin questioning whether or not there is something behind the silence:

‘It says there is something behind this silence.’

Personally, I think it is only a matter of time before Cesc Fabregas leaves Arsenal.

The Spaniard has been tracked down by former club Barca for about 2-3 years now, and if reports of the ‘end of season gift’ are true, then it suggests to me that Fabregas will depart the Emirates this summer, and that the ‘silence’ is just his way of saying ‘I’m out of here’.

I know Cesc is a fantastic player, however, his heart is not at Arsenal, and I think its time for the inevitable to happen this summer.
