In one of the most laughable, yet surprisingly interesting transfer suggestions I have heard all summer, I’m hearing rumours that Arsenal should make a shocking move for unhappy Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
Many Arsenal fans would say this is a ridiculous option for Wenger to consider, I mean, when does are club ever sign top class players? Not very often. But the signing of Drogba would be pure genius is my opinion.
Chelsea will probably look to offload the Ivorian striker after the arrival of £50 million man Fernando Torres, and on top of that, at 33-years-old, Drogba is definitely past his prime.
Now I know you’re probably asking ‘why on earth would Arsenal want to sign a 33 year old forward?’, but hear me out. He is an established Premier League striker, who scores crucial goals in big games, and is a consistent performer. The Ivorian has scored 95 Premier League goals for Chelsea in 202 appearances. On top of his goal scoring attributes, Drogba is a powerful striker, which is just what Arsenal need – a touch of steal in their line-up.
Signing Didier Drogba wouldn’t be my first choice if I was Wenger, but if we can get him, then I for one wouldn’t complain.
A top class, established striker who is full of goals and is powerful – what more could the Gunners ask for?

With Gervinho in the wings that means Walcott can go to forward so he could be a partner for Van Persie. Also I believe Chamahk could do wonders for the team if he was given more chances. We still need a defensive midfielder (Vertonghen) a centreback (samba/Cahill) and a left back (enrique/baines)

He still got two years in him and Wenger was interested in him before he was joining Marseille, so give him a one year deal with an option of an pay as you play extension. He will partner up perfectly with RvP or could play as a lone striker.
