Could a potential loan deal revive this midfielder’s career at Arsenal?

|

Fitness has been an evident issue for Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky in recent seasons.

His injury problems started way back in 2008, when he picked up a hamstring tendon injury, which unfortunately ruled him out of the entire season. Since then, Rosicky has failed to recapture form, and most importantly, fitness.

So I ask, could a possible loan deal be beneficial for the Czech star this summer?

In the MLS the football season continues throughout the summer, and perhaps game time at a lower level is exactly what Rosicky needs in order to return to gain fitness and sharpness.

One of the clubs who could be involved in such a deal is the New York Red Bulls – a team that is always looking to improve itself.

If the move went through this summer, then the 30-year-old wouldn’t be the only Champions League experienced player within the Red Bulls squad. He would be playing with the likes of former Barcelona player and Champions League winner, Rafael Marquez, and of course Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

A two-month loan deal could potentially revive Rosicky’s career at Arsenal, and possibly, see him returning to the first-team more regularly next season.

Would a loan move be ideal for Rosicky, or is he already doomed for the chop this summer?

this is actually a really good idea.
the lack of fitness and confidence is apparent in his performances.
a loan move could do wonders for him.
    very good idea.

Nope, this is the end of the road for Rossicky. A nice lad who’s professional but he is at the end of his career and currently surplus to requirement.

He cant get in the team coz others are better and loan away would’nt make him stronger or younger when he comes back from loan he will be older and infinitely less able to compete with those whom he cant prefered to them.

Sell at throw-away price but save on wages. We also need someone who can come in to do something extraordinary and help us win that game. Rossicky I’m afraid aint that person. I’ll miss him though.

With Rosicky it is odd how he always seems to be fit for his Country’s Internationals,in which he plays well, and invariably returns injured.I personally think he is using Arsenal as a training camp, for this purpose, and at the same time getting a very generous Salary indeed. He has not contributed anything whatsoever to our great Club over the past two seasons, and should be given an Dishonorable Discharge.

It will be good for him. Arsenal need him for tutoring their youngsters. They can learn from his attitude, professionalism, and patient in long-term injury. For backup, he still good.

Needs to be sold at his wages and for what he contributes on the field i think it’s time for him to go.

this is a fantastic idea, this is a player who was up there with the best in the world, he loves arsenal but wont be able to get a run of games, at 30 that is not past it, certainly not these days. so why not get him fit , give him some confidence? and he could be a very valuable squad player, he deserves one more go at least. ARSENE GIVE HIM TO RED BULLS ON LOAN THIS SUMMER!

For a start it’s a dishonable discharge, not an. Grammatical problems with your argument aside, he’s scored once in the last year for his country, which like his contribution to our club has clearly been blighted by injury, so the idea he uses us as a ‘training camp’ as you put it is absurd. If you can cast your mind back to before his injury, he was a top class player who could turn games on a whim. He’s not an ambitious 22 year-old but an experienced and consumate professional who has shown that he wants the best for the club on more that one occasion, the post League Cup final interview being all the evidence you need. Having said that, I really don’t think we`ll ever get the old Rosicky back.

I think he’s past his time in Asenal,he was a great guy but feel he should leave the team this time around to allow 4 d more energetic younger players who’s got strenth n pace 2 really get us there.

  • Stu says:

Considering he is a good player and just had a run of bad luck with regard to his fitness letting him down, I reckon it’s worth a shot.

We need people with experience to remain in the team if the younger players are going to have anyone to learn from.

  • Ricky says:

It will probably be good for Rosicky to do this over the summer, so he regain some form and be ready for next season.
